Well I checked out Geekadrome. They were closed early today (of course...) but they are apparently GW friendly as they had 40k posters and product visible from their windows. Not much stock of anything, but they did just open up a month or two ago.

Unfortunately they didn't have much space (they weren't in the AL building) and no tables for gaming. There is room for two o three at a squeeze, but unless they have a hidden back room there won't be able to be much going on there. I'll see if I can't stop by again later in the week.

Personally the offer of the ride depends on what is reasonable. If I chip in $5 on gas, would that be enough to get dropped off somewhere more convenient? I realize that Oakland may be a bit too much to expect, but would you consider downtown?

I appreciate your offer to make our lives more convenient.

Thanks,

I dont mind going to oakland DEPENDING on time period kerwin

Really oakland is no different than downtown if its at night.. However if I have to go to oakland during the afternoon it really sucks a lot since I cant take blvd of the allies due to never ending construction

Sean - I can drop everyone off at forbes now, its not a big deal since as long as we go to oakland at night i can get there and back fast

So let me know, I'll be going there every week usually and I like bringing people I actually know who wont throw hissy fits about everything

Sounds like a good idea. So what days do you guys generally go over there? I noticed that they had a 40k gaming night about every other week on Friday Nights. If I could get a ride back into town I could see making that a regular event. I can catch a bus from work and make it out there by around 5PM. I would be willing to stay as late as you would be as I wouldn't have to worry about work in the morning.

Also, any info on that apoc game they have listed on their site? Is it part of a campaign, or open to anyone that wants to show up?

I appreciate the info.

Thanks,

I'm not going this week(obviously), but what time does the gaming usually run from-to on Thursdays? I'll admit it is not as convenient as a Friday or Saturday as I have work on Fridays, but I might as well get all the information I can. From your lack of response, I'm guessing that you don't have any information about the Friday Night Gaming or the Megabattle listed on the 9th of August. I guess I'll just swing by Legions Friday the 1st to inquire about their schedule and possibly play a game or two. Ill see you then if you are there.

If you are willing to pick-up and drop off in Oakland on Saturdays, then I might easily make the trip to Legions on the Weekends that I'm not playing D&D. We will have to arrange a meeting point, but I doubt that will be much of an issue. Hopefully we can get interest with Nick, Shawn, Sean, Dave, or Mathieu on the carpooling. Mathieu have access to a car on a regular basis and Nick also gets the car occasionally. Depending on their availability and interest, we might be able to lessen your burden on carpooling.

As I've said, I'm going to swing by Legions on the evening of Friday the 1st. I'll catch a bus from work and get up to legions around 5pm. that will leave me time to get a game of 40k in and chat for a bit before leaving on the 9PM bus back into town(that's the last bus I can catch w/o having to walk up and down 2 hills).

If I don't see you Friday the 1st, then I hope to see you at CMU for the Goblin cup on the 2nd. I still see what is happening with Jeff's move as unfortunate, but we might as well try to make the best of a bad situation.

Dom and I went this thrus, it wasnt bad as there was a good amount of people playing 40k. As dom said im not sure how many more Thursdays we will be going but theres still hope for the weekends. We are going to have to get more people to drive though considering doms car only has a few spaces ;/

Cya this weekend.

PS anyone willing to go on sat around 11ish to get a game of 40k (or even fantasy in) because I have to leave by 2 30
