I've been thinking lately about the state of my orks, and trying to get myself motivated to really clean my army up, fix up all the broken bits, and really make an army that's complete and cohesive on the tabletop. While I've been wallowing in my apparent inability to really do much of anything with the half-finished lot of models that I've got (and there are quite a lot of them, believe me-- partly due to problems juggling models with a little too much RL, which has forced a mangled WARBOSS to take a backseat in pieces for weeks now), I've also been looking closely at all the new ork models that have been coming out, reading about future releases (plastic Kopta, Kan, Deff dread, and grots amongst the fabled "Second Wave"), as well as keeping tabs on ebay and slavering over all sorts of wonderful models being pumped out by the richer folks (i.e., people with jobs) on The-WAAAGH, who've been able to get their green gribblies on a healthy assortment of new models from the Lootas to the Baneblades.
The last thread I read on the-waaagh was by a guy who's just starting orks, and is frantically trying to get an army ready for a local tournament. He's using, naturally, almost exclusively new models, with some nice conversions mixed in for things like Deffkoptas and Looted Wagons, which don't have models of their own. I began to think about what it was like to have only 500pts or so of an army to play with, and how I once painted a full mob of shoota boyz in one night (with some help from a friend at whose house I was staying that night) just so I could have 2 troops choices for a tournament at phantom the next day-- back when phantom actually held weekly 40k bashes. That was a lot of fun, and obviously a real motivating factor.
Right, so here's the deal-- I'm looking to get a hold of the new ork sets, and multiples of all of them, but I haven't the money to do so. I'm also looking for something that'll force me to actually paint a full unit at a measured, steady pace for the first time in like 4 years. So in order to do these things I'm looking to sell some orks, and lots of them. The less I have to use, the more I'll have to build, and the more I sell, the more I'll be able to buy.
So, anybody want anything? Just tell me what you're looking for, I'll se if I can dig it up, and then if I can part with it.
Oh, I have fantasy orcs as well, just not quite so many of them, and more of those I need to keep as a result. And a bunch of blood bowl models too, and some tyranids, and kroot, and...just ask, okay?

I'll take some of this. I don't know how much I'll be able to buy, seeing as I don't have much $$$ right now, but I am interested in the kroot the nids, and possibly 1000 points worth of Orks. I also have a little friend who is starting Orks, and I'm sure would be more than eager to deal, since you don't have GW prices

I have a completely untouched kroot carnivore squad (still in the shrinkwrap!) and all those kroot hounds you traded/sold/gave me awhile back. And I have another squad (two maybe) of those yellow-painted kroot I used in Dom's league oh-so-long-ago. And 3 winged Kroot too, and the parts for 9 of those kroot cavalry things from the old mercenary list. Dunno if they're still relavent in the new Apoc rules.
On Bugzz, I have 1 genestealer and then a whole bunch of various gaunts (Horma- and Terma- mix), don't really know how many.

For Bloodbowl (what I'm NOT using), without spending more than a few seconds looking, I have:
1 BB Troll
2 BB Goblins
4 BB PLASTIC Orc Blitzers
3 BB PLASTIC Blorc Blockers
4 BB PLASTIC Orc Linemen
1 BB PLASTIC Orc Thrower
1 Orc Catcher
2 Orc Linemen
Some are painted in the very slightest sense of the word, basically just primed so nothing that would obstruct or lessen detail with a new layer of paint. I know I also have a human team around here somewhere, and a bunch more plastic orcs.
Also: I have a few Ogres still on sprues and a whole lot of Snotlings, so it wouldn't be very hard to make an ogre team out of the stuff that I've got.

Mathieu: I've got 2-3 MA Nobs lying around; I never really used them much, so didn't buy that many. Buggy's I have, and I bet I could find enough for a complete skorcha trakk around here somewhere.... I look for one. Unfortunately, the nobs are one of the few things I don't plan on parting with. Depending on how I use the bits from my plastic blorcs, I could part with as many as 20, but I plan on building 50 + 30 flash gitz, so nobs are important to me right now.
Bryan: I won't be there this coming saturday, I'll be in DC. What about tomorrow? Are you and Jon still planning on getting together at phantom? I got an extra day off (tomorrow) due to weather, so I could come down and hash things out with you, as long as I get fair warning beforehand. I could even bring some models for a game or two.

Just Found:
3 more PLASTIC Orc Linemen
1 plastic BB ball
6 PLASTIC Human Linemen
2 PLASTIC Human Throwers
2 PLASTIC Human Catchers (they have those right?)
2 PLASTIC Human Blitzers/Runners/I don't know whats
Basically stuff from the BB starter set, all this stuff is still on sprues.
And I have enough for 4 Ogres, all but one body on sprues;
I'm steadily finding sprues from a Chaos beakie box, and since it's basically all still there (except maybe the heavy bolter, some shoulder pads...), that'll give you 8 marines;
Typhus, I've got a lot of him lying here, though the scythe is in use;
The Bugzz come to 15 Hormagaunts and 12 Termagaunts.
And of course there's more where that all came from. I know I also have a couple necrons and firewarriors laying about, they're painted, and pretty well too if you ask me. Only a couple though, not enough for full squads or anything I don't think.

Hello Geoff,
I'd be interested in both your Orc and Human BB stuff. ESPECIALLY if it is from the old boxed set and still on sprues. I bought the boxed set last fall and would be interested in more Orcs and Humans so I can build and paint a full orc team and a full human team. That way I will have plenty of options for next season(as it seems that I won't be participating much this season due to D&D).

On a related note, found the 4th Blorc Blocker, so the team's complete now.
